Brides a la mode coming to Granger...

Ok, time to tell you all about a new business venture myself and two other wedding professionals are launching in Granger on June 28th... Brides a la mode!!!

Professional event planner Kathy Strukel of "The Perfect Solutions", "Beehive Salon" owner Jill Kuharic and I came up with the idea a couple of months ago. Create a luscious space where brides-to-be can relax and have a complimentary preview of the areas finest wedding professionals.

Brides can bring their mom or their girlfriends, sip a glass of complimentary champagne and review portfolios and samples from all our participating wedding professionals... and we have GREAT ones, all pre-qualified and with different styles and pricepoints.

Stephen & Kimi

Stephen & Kimi are a sweet couple that are getting married later this year. I visited them in Chicago earlier this month to shoot their engagement session. Instead of shooting at all the city landmarks that a lot of others choose, we decided to shoot in Kimi's neighborhood as we took a stroll to the lake. Her mother sent me a sweet message this week about how much she loved these shots. She said that when Kimi's brother walked in and saw them he commented "they really look like they're in love..."

Yeah... they do don't they :)

Bring Anya Home...

My dear friends Marty & Kathy Friend have been working on adopting a beautiful little girl from Russia named Anya. The process to adopt in Russia is UNBELIEVABLE. Well, after 5 years they may be getting to the home stretch! This June there is a good chance they will finally be bringing Anya home.
